Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Venice, the city on water, built on 118 islets connected by 435 public and private bridges and crossed by 176 canals. Among these three are the best known: Murano, Burano and Torcello.

With our guide we reach Riva degli Schiavoni where we will embark for our first destination, Murano.

Famous throughout the world for the art of glass, it owes its centuries-old wealth to the decree of 1291 which forced all glassworks (easily subject to fire and therefore a source of danger for Venetian houses) to be transferred to this island.

We will visit one of the oldest glass factories and witness a test of skill by the glass masters and later you will also have the opportunity to purchase some beautiful objects in authentic Murano glass.

The cathedral of Murano is dedicated to Saints Maria and Donato and is one of the greatest examples of Venetian-Byzantine art in the lagoon.

We embark again, on the pier under the lighthouse to visit our second island of the day, Burano.

This island, on the other hand, is famous all over the world for the art of lace and its houses colored in blue, red, yellow and purple. Each house has a different color from the others and together they form an elegant rainbow of colors that enchant the soul.

Wandering through the small streets and alleys you will breathe an authentic popular atmosphere, the doors of the houses are often left open and in summer when it is hot you can find the elderly ladies chatting and mending seats outdoors in front of their homes. After visiting the Lace Museum we will leave you a couple of hours for lunch and then we will return to the pier to embark for the next and very close destination, the Island of Torcello.

Torcello was once a thriving center and the place from which the Venetian civilization originated.

Here the inhabitants of Altino took refuge to escape the invasion of the barbarians. As soon as we disembark we will pass on the so-called Ponte del Diavolo, which is said to have been built in one night by the devil himself to win a bet, and we will visit the Throne of Attila which is erroneously attributed to the leader of the Huns but which was actually used by the governor of the island when administering justice.

Finally, we will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, another important example of Venetian-Byzantine art.

In the late afternoon we will return to Venice in an hour and a half of navigation and then our hotel.
